with headquarters in Modugno (BA) and about 310 employees, is the largest Research and Development center of the Bosch Group in Italy, where the Common Rail system was born and developed in the 1980s.

In addition to the consolidated activity on high pressure pumps, CVIT developed the DNOX system for the reduction of nitrogen oxides from exhaust gases for commercial vehicles. In collaboration with the main car manufacturers and the parent company, it carries out activities in the field of engineering for applications on engines and vehicles, studies electronic systems for service and calibration on diesel, gasoline, hybrid and electric engines and recently also motorcycles, having facilities available for Testing activities, equipped with the most up-to-date equipment.

What will you take care of?

The Calibration Engineer is responsible for calibration of work packages within application projects for automotive powertrain, system control and diagnostic systems, with focus on calibration of ICE powertrain for 2W and 4W applications (motorbikes, passenger cars and/or commercial vehicles). The Calibration Engineer will plan the activities, including facilities and resources and will manage the tracking and progress of calibration work packages.

The resource will support the team in the following activities:

  • Ensure fulfillment of calibration project requirements coming from legislation demands, customer requirements and end-customer UX
  • Coordination and execution of setup of testing environment at test benches, chassis-dyno (vehicle) as well as on road
  • Coordination and execution of experimental campaign, including data post-processing and results evaluation, with focus on drawing conclusions about calibration strategies
  • Coordination and preparation of customer documentation, attendance to regular customer meetings
  • Coordination, preparation and participation to testing trips and expeditions
  • Responsible for maintenance of calibration project documentation, according to automotive quality standards
  • Support proactively the acquisition of further customer projects
  • Actively participate in technical discussions and requirements analysis with customers and internal stakeholders

Qualifiche

Education: Master Degree in automotive engineering, Mechatronics, control engineering or similars

Language skills: Good English language skills required; basic knowledge of German language represents a plus.

Experience and know-how: Very good knowledge on various powertrain topologies, architecture about electric vehicle powertrain (EV). Experience in the automotive systems field and knowledge about control module calibration techniques and automotive’s standards.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in development / engineering applications

Working Method: Team player attitude within a diverse and multicultural environment, proactive working style, independent and high customer oriented.

Personality: High motivation and willingness to take responsibilities, self-standing personality, flexibility and ability to work under pressure. Availability for abroad assignments for short or medium periods as a nice-to-have.
