Job Purpose / Job Objective

Prepare timely and accurate technical specifications to support large Medium Voltage electric motor and drive system proposals/orders in the designated markets to support the detailed cost analysis for all specifications. Create a network of technical evaluator relationships with clients and vendors to build a pipeline of potential business within designated markets.

Responsibility

• Prepare technical specifications for fixed and adjustable speed motors and AC/DC drives systems to meet clients’ Request for Quote (RFQ) requirements

• Support the system integration activities

• Prepare detailed cost elements for the technical specification during quotation stage.

• Identify enhanced product or service feature needs

• Design competitive and viable technical approaches to resolve client issues.

• Feedback product and service deficiencies to business unit management for continuous improvement.

• Prepare specifications for required components.

• Evaluate supplier proposals

• Prepare and deliver presentations

• Review brochures for technical accuracy

• Provide technical guidance

• Lead technical and commercial proposal development

• Identify and suggest new products and applications to drive business growth

• Monitor industry trends

• Track competitive environment

• Track competitor’s offerings

Education / Qualification
• Master of Science in electrical engineering or equivalent via education and/or work experience

Experience
• desiderable 2 or more years systems or application engineering experience in the medium voltage drives and motor systems for Metal Application. Proven experience with 3 level and multilevel drives projects.

• desiderable basic knowledge of rolling process . Demonstrated success in client facing, sales or marketing related assignments.
